ireallylikebakedbeans 0
Why don't they just include the fuel thing into the price instead of slapping it on as "extra" (even though it is almost 20% of the flight cost in the first place). I have paid up and got my tickets issued for the end of July already so there's no "can you pay more please..." gonna happen here.
bushpig 0
cos they like to sucker people into the false comfort of thinking they have found a cheap ticket, rather than scare you into searching elsewhere...

MrKong 0
Its not just the summer flights that the fuel surcharges are on. I can't remember them more than 2 years back though - when did they start appearing?

indosnm 0
The extra charges have always been there. 8-9 years ago, I used to pay around 5-8,000 yen on top of my ticket (that was including airport taxes etc) 2 years ago when I took some students to OZ we paid 9,000 on top of the ticket, Last year I used miles bought in Feb 06 for december flight paid 15,000 (in feb) by december it was 25,000!. Now I'm being quoted 30,000 and if I don't pay now or very soon (for winter flights) then The price will probably push 35,000- as high as 40,000! (this is Qantas) Go to oz iafter GW and pay 55,000 and then get stung for 30,000 in taxes, thats just fargin ridiculous. How do other airlines charge? Similar? If not I'll be changing real soon! In OZ by law they are required to include all extra's in the advertised prices.

merryJim 1
When I went to Bangkok I really enjoyed just walking round places and taking it all in. Fascinating place. Preferred outside Bangkok, but if you are there and have done all the major tourist spots, pick an area and just walk.
