kintaro 0
Hey Goemon, CB, I didn't think anybody knew Lucky Dube. I actually met him back stage. CB, before moving here I was at every Big Mele. I've been to one sunsplash. Did you see Janes Addiction at Aloha Tower? It was their last concert ever and I heard Perry Ferrow got naked and then arrested. They of course later became Porno for Pyro's.
Yuki's Passion 1
Lucky Dube, some very chilled reggae there mate. I had a case of 100cds that I lost when moving from Hiroshima to here...ALL my reggae is now gone + all my other random good stuff that was in that case Saw Janes Addiction at Fuji Rock a few years back mate but also saw them back in HS & Uni too. Also: Buju Banton Third World

Goemon 0
CB: I still have 2 Lucky Dube CDs that I'll let you borrow if we ever meet. He performed at the Live8 concert in South Africa; there was a video clip floating around these internets some time ago. Would have loved to have seen Alpha Blondy live. Spin Doctors used to fu*k it up before they got caught up. They're a pretty good live band. That is one sick ass list of shows there CB, I guess that's Athens. What a great place to go to school. Yuki's Passion 1
JP, yup, Athens was a great place to be, but also saw loads of concerts in Atlanta and Honolulu too with a few here in Japan.
JPchucky 0
Sweet ATL!!, we may have been to some of the same shows here in Japan. My first show was in Honolulu, Jerry Garcia Band way back when I was still pickin my nose till it bled. BTW, love that sig., thats my favorite quote from Tangerine. Reminds me of that guy ?Abu? from the quickymart on Simpsons.
orinoco 0
Janes Addiction was the best I've been to. Some impressive lists here!
kintaro 0
Janes Addiction was an amazing concert. There were toppless girls on stage, chickens running around, at one point he fake slit his throat and in a (fake) bloody mess he started making out with a male clown. It was nuts! bushpig 0
that sounds... er... great apart from the topless girls bit

ncorrenti 0
Fake slitting his throat just sounds a bit... wrong? Guess you had to be there.
kintaro 0
yah, had to be there. I heard in his heroin days Perry lived in an apartment in LA with chickens. Must be a fetish??
veronica 2
Very weird. REM were my biggest disappointment when I saw them.
kintaro 0
Me too veronica! Terrible; Micheal Stipe (sp) running around with a bull horn complaining about how stupid their own song "smiley happy people" was. They sounded like a good Uni-bar band. I like their recorded music though. Hey CB, you must have seen 'em in Athens a few times, no?
Yuki's Passion 1
Yup, once was for their concert Kinatro and once they played under a random name that we went to check out for like 10dollars + a good local band. Was pennies. Saw Stipe at The Grill (best milkshakes in the US ) and he mustve been off his freakin nut, eyes rollin in the back of his head, purple bags under his eyes, and just looked really F'ed up
