  1. Hi All, Okkies, Pepsi Nex is having a free Star Wars promotion, giving away Star Wars Bearbricks away with each Purchase, So keep your eyes open. It should start beginning of July 2008. Now, I am a HUGE star wars nerd, and I am a HUGE Toy collector. This is in Japan only!.. sighs. Well, I am hoping that some of my lovely friends will be nice, and collect them for me, and try and scam a promotional poster too., I am happy to do a trade, or pay, or name my soon to be born son after them. There are 16 to collect, and I hope to collect them, and if need be, collect more, an
  2. Yup, I love Fridays. Easy work day (dev stuff), beers for lunch, followed by Squash at night, Nice Dinner, and then we all play Nintendo Wii. Have a good one!

  4. Very good point, but hence my saying "it needs to be in your face". I use MS Sharepoint on our intranet @ the moment, and I love it when I see my "events list", or "tasks list" linked to calendars, it helps me remember to do things. but, i guess for the sake of here, yeah, removing it from the page decreases page load time/DB queries, and cleans the page... and yeah, most people don't care.. all good...
  5. Hmmm, that is interesting.. Didn't there used to be a multiple choice for event type? Disabled for lack of use?, or abuse? Calendars are great for group events, info etc, when organizing social events, but the info needs to always be "in your face" (ie, a module/plugin position), to remind you (allowing users to hide this block is also good). If there are no negatives to using the calendar, then I personally would leave it, although, I would definitely disable viewing if you are not registered... What's the plan SJF, thinking of abandoning it?
  6. I think it is a great feature. Hello Ewok! Can I come to your party then? Sorry, back on track. it is great for adding events (like last years Hakkas SJF get together, not that i could attend.. sighs)..
  7. I am naughty, I don't really collate/store all of my images, as most of mine are online, and @ 72dpi. TSonda, how many porn ones do you have?

  19. I liked Ueno (2 stops from Tokyo station). Just near the JR is a huge markets, lots of food stalls, there are really lovely old temples, museum, galleries, and my favourite, the Yamashiroya toy shop, 8 levels of AWESOME toys! We stayed at the oak hotel, prices from 5500 yen per night. Clean, neat, internet access etc. Bout 10 min walk from the Ueno JR station. If you go there, I will send you details of the BEST okonomiyake shop in town Just google ueno hotels otherwise. Have fun, I loved Tokyo! And I miss it....
