  1. errr... I though you were into science? How's the poster coming on?
  2. Yes, would be awesome! What sort of time would you aim to leave? I can get out of here a bit earlier than normal probably and if I just bring my gear to the office I won't even need to go home (and FT can enjoy mocking my suited appearance).
  3. so you are going on friday now? That might work out pretty nicely as I haven't heard anything from Stunts. All my gear is in Hakuba as well so I take up very little space (I'm only small!).
  4. That looks like awesome fun. I hope we can do something similar this weekend!
  5. I think it would be an S. I might go to the showroom in tokyo to try i on just in case. But pretty sure.
  6. Great shots, thanks for putting them up. That slope search killed me. Shameful how disorganised I was, a good lesson!
  7. I briefly met the guy responsible. Didn't really ask too much about it as it's not really my bsuiness, but he is a super-keen skier, more so than most people on this board (with a few obvious exceptions).
  8. Well they were just about the best Hakuba pics of the season so far. Look forward to seeing more!
  9. better cheer yourself up with some photos from sunday I guess...

  12. Yeah I am realising you are right... you can buy the sidewinders in Japan in good colours, if you don't mind being raped on price.
  13. Oh so it's all professional... I was hoping for something more exciting!

I know it's ridiculous, but I just have to have either green or blue stuff, much like you need to wear purple... I know, I know, I should be mocked for turning the BC into a catwalk, but I just really like blue and green. Please feel free to mock me as I deserve!

  16. Wow they are selling a jacket that goes for $600 on bc.com for nearly 100,000 in the retail store in Japan. Presumably some people are actually buying it as well...
  17. You have to remember I am junior scum and I'm not all that wealthy! Plus there has been some serious wealth transfer from me to the Hakuba region, centering on Rappies... Anyway, it looks like the Arc'teryx jacket I really wanted is basically sold out worldwide, so there's no rush to order in time for my friend to pick it up in the states. I'll have a good think about it.
  18. Thnaks for all the responses. Only one thing is for sure - I am going to end up a lot poorer...

What arc'teryx jacket do you have? Sorry for flogging this topic to death but it is quite a big spend so would like to get it right...
  20. FT what do you wear under your paclite when you go out for a day? Is that paclite good enough for your outer shell in terms of wind/waterproofness if you have enough insulation on inside?

Generally the gore is fore really nasty weather and the soft shell is for nicer days. The soft shell breathes much better. The gore offers better protection. Yes, I have been building up from the skin outwards. Now I need some decent insulation and the shell. I hear what you're s
  22. I think I am probably an Arc'teryx small - their stuff seems like quite large size. What are you wearing? I know we're completely different sizes but would give me an idea. FT, would happily get at Rappies but I think I can do better getting my friend to pick up from the states for me.
