  1. well, if December is the time that you must go because you have to burn off your leave before the next year starts then it's important to find a place that has snow if you intend to ski. Looking at the stats on SJ helps you to guess where the most likely place to have enough to ski on would be. So I guess I care about the stats. But going by my personal experience the past 2 seasons, it's going to be Niseko for sure. December is the key word.
  2. worse. More never ending wars, more terror threats, more climate shifts, more hungry people, more everything. The only bright spot on the horizon is the coming snow to play on.

Buy one for yourself, then normally it's technically your round and you have to get up to buy the other guy one when your friend arrives. But, as you are early if your pint is less than half, then it swaps and your friend will then feel the need to offer you a refil. Nasty people. hahaha, arrive early. difficult if there are more than one of these cheats in you circle. Almost every place here has a happy hour from 5 to 8 or 9. So if you get a round in happy hour, it's double
  4. I think the "in store" means those cafes inside department stores.
  5. any insight on the left handed thing? really interesting.
  6. Hold on, if it's 90p an hour, why would you put 170p into the machine? You can only go in units of 1 hour right? so you would either put 180p in and get 2 hours or 100p and get 10p change.
  7. Kintaro, that's what I really hate about buying used. You never know what it's been through. Have to own up, I bought a new car last year, and a 42" Plasma 2 years ago. And a set of Mizunos 6 month's ago. What I really really hate is the time share scam. Don't even buy these secondhand.
  8. Yeeehah, I've got my prices from the hotel and have booked it. It took them 3 weeks to answer my email!!!!! And the flight is on mileage, Niseko, here I come, December that is.
  9. the one thing worse than opium, hold on, that is smoking.
  10. whatabout some harmful random violence like happy slapping?
  11. So where are you opening up? Before December?
  12. If I remember correctly, it's all black with the WW2 German helmet. I could be wrong and the German helmet may have been in Korea.
  13. unless you're a collector, never buy used jewllery. If she found out, she'd hate you forever. And never buy used books. Really hate the pages being touched by other people. You lose that all clean smell from turning over the page.
  14. I find the Australians here very well versed in travel. They made it this far, so they must have travelled the long way round. I find this really fascinating; why are so may Australians left handed? They began as a penal colony, but are now a major force in the world of sports.
  15. That's good to know as I have perennial pain in getting Sapporo flights for the dates I want.
  16. Fatts, It's resources like SJ and whatever is convenient online that people read. By all means please correct me, I do want to know the places with the most snow so I can double guess which places would give me the deepest snow in December for my next trip.

(not a knock on sj i like the reports). all the above places average 500 plus inches or up to 700 inches of snowfall. I love how people get sucked into the marketing of certain areas, thats all it is marketing. Fatts, Just looking at the data on SJ for the resorts puts Ni
  18. the patrol are definitely not a hindrance at Niseko. But I really dig the uniform when you come across one.
  19. Snosurf, my mistake. thanks for the explanation. No comments either way for ski japan here, this is a trade show. Suffice to say I used them once in the many times I've been to Niseko.
  20. Fatts, substantiate your claims that Niseko is not in the top 5 for snowfall. I have heard otherwise and have been shocked at the figures for Niseko.
