  2. here we go. option 1 book you acomodation direct from the spots on SJ, book a domestic from Tokyo to Sapporo, take the white liner from Chitose to Niseko Hirafu and you're there. option 2 book via skijapan.com. They'll meet you at airport and transfer you to your accomodation. hope it goes well.
  3. beginner, run for your life. linger here too long and you'd be convinced by regulars to go to Hakuba to enjoy the back country on your face.
  4. The Dai Kaiten is marked as 40 degrees and 430 long and then joins the Super at 25 degrees. That's enough for me for now.
  5. where's Dorikins. I want to see if he's still stealing Manila police bikes or if he's been shot yet.
  6. "opinion of many people that visit is that they have lots of fun." That sums me up perfectly. that's why I keep returning year after year. A challenge sounds too much like hard work. For me, the 40 degree slopes and blackies like Super and Giant are good enough for my (wobbly) skills. The business ventures can go do what they do to survive but I'm there for the fun. they don't bother me and I don't bother them.
  7. Kintaro, I think it goes like this: The waste from taking a drag on a cigarette is the exhaled smoke and ash. The waste from a beer is piss. Now I don't go around pissing on your face and up your nostrils so why do you blow your cancer into my face.
  8. length, as described by Soub. also the colour. I got some white composite ones to match my skis. Swix is a good brand and also the K2 5 speed with the chrome knobs. great for getting the sun in your eyes.
  9. Hi there ibk, you must be the first here to see the new season. Enjoy!
  10. panhead, I presume you're Australian so it's 90 days or less without a visa for you. On the other hand, anyone wanting to visit Australia will need a visa.

Last season everywhere was good from mid December to mid January, but other years mid December would be a bit early. You may be lucky though. Stay at the Hakuba Alps Backpackers if you want a cheap place that's friendly and close to the slopes: http://www.hakubabackpackers.com/ now, you're making it sound like Niseko is an expensive place. you can rough it there like you could anywhere else. But I would'nt.
  12. WOW!!, that was quick! I ncredible SJ service. Thanks very much.
  13. RD, I can't PM you. Can you PM me the name of your property in Hirafu, may try it for CNY
  14. Having read this article, I now see what all the fuss is about. Honestly speaking I have not come across any loutish Australians while in the village. But maybe that will change next time.
  15. "Mate, if you don't like my out spoken loud mouthed role on this forum then you are free to hold and express that opinion. But don't expect my 'thing' to change just because it doesn't suit your persona. There seems to be something dull in the water of Hong Kong." ------------------------------------------- - Holding, expressing, no expecting anything. - Must be the lead making us dull. Thanks for the concern.
  16. yes probably, but how does the 50-hour thing work? does the meter stop counting at close of lift for the day and starts running again when you next go through the gates? If so, you'd lose out if you skied only half a day.

  18. you get things like the full season ticket and then you have the 50-Hour Season ticket. Now how does the 50-hour ticket become a season ticket? How does that work? Your 50 hours start from the moment you enter your first gate and continues to count 'til when?
  19. yeah, sounds like Hokkaido is the best bet for Dec. Don't know of any airline that flies directly from London to Sapporo though.
  20. Christmas and New Year is the same period I'm going, only not for 5 weeks. I'm headed for Hokkaido, landing in Sapporo. If you're going to use airmiles for the ticket, you're probably already too late for Sapporo, but check it out in case. From Perth, I'd guess your best bet would be into Tokyo and domestic from there.
  21. lazy as in tight fisted? reputation as in tight git? I think the rounds thing is a caucasian thing anyway. And cute it is.
  22. pancakes, I'm very disappointed in you, I booked my trip in Dec just to sample your pancakes.

I wonder if they read it here. Or - is it true?! How long does it take for a rumour to become true. Le spud you could have started something here oh dear, Spuds dictating the resort demograhics now. Good one.
