  11. never been to Cain either , but I hear its pretty frickin eh... I have been to mt washington witch is pretty close to Cain - between it and vic and while i have never hit it when it was firing, it has crazy potential if you get it fresh. there some loooooong out of bounds tree runs there if its not so fresh. but i still dont think either stack to whis' when its on....buuuut if I was you and knowing what i do....I'd go interior for the selkirk silk. you cant beat it. and I got a call yesterday saying its armpits right now!
  12. not sure when but will be at FT's, i want to go during xmas new years time but i should be somewhere else. basically when It sounds like the snow is gonna fire I'll make my move. i cant wait to get back and shred saaka chair!

  15. not sure what skidoos there using but resorts usally run on groomed roads and packed runs, if the resorts is closed there wont be any groomed roads or runs. just something to think about. but a great idea to get sleddin'.
  16. nick make sure you get a pow machine, most sleds are gonna be useless in fresh hakuba pow. those scandics(in the links) are work horses but not the sled for the deep stuff. wide tracks and big lugs (2inch) and power ... a600 and up, better around 800. unless you like digging all day and throwing your back out.
  17. ya we got snow to mid station yesterday. the stoke is on
  18. i have the older one that is blue in colour, you hook your probe with your board carry straps, through the probe loops. as for gear...on snow I bring 70-200 film body, digi body a fish and 16-35. for any thing else like mtb I usually bring much more like lights and more glass.

  20. yes theres not a lot but there is more than enough to shred. the bonus is that the alpine is area boundry in the early season so you can shred the closures with out any grief. And it's a short hike. just depends on the season. Interior usually goes off though.
