  1. I'm currently wearing in the boots i'll be wearing this winter. I have the disadvantage of having one foot slightly bigger than the other, so one foot feels fine and is confortable for as long as I choose to wear it ie. the perfect fit. While the other is tight in the toe. I'm hoping after wearing the inners around the house for a bit, they will form better to my feet and by Decmeber they will give me no problems.
  2. It's on Apple Trailers, so I assume (as sake says) it will probably be viewed and treated in the same way Dogtown was. In as far as distribution goes anyway. So I expect it will get a limited international release. I don't see why not anyway.
  3. I've been buying a lot more lottery tickets in the run up to winter than I usually do. This is not something that I would advise though.
  4. Hi, dunno if anyone's brought this up yet, but I've just seen the trailer for the movie 'First Descent' on Apple trailers and was wondering what peoples thoughts on this movie are. I, despite being a snowboarder, havent much clue on the history of boarding, and as of yet I've not looked into it. Do people think that the film may be omitting anything significant about the imergence of the sport? Also, how worth while do you it is making a film like this is? What I will say though, is that some of the footage in the trailer was impressive and it seems to go into Alaskan heli-boarding,
  5. No BPC I've never even seen a biofuel boiler myself I think unfortunately when alot of people hear about energy conservation they immediatly think 'ah well it's not the easiest option, so why bother unless I have to'. Anything different from what they're used to using seems to scare a lot of people off. For that reason I think 'energy preservation' and 'environmental awareness', and large scale building projects are something that will not be heard within the same sentence except when talking about the minimum required by law. I am no expert but I think the only way of changing

  7. Designing water/central heating systems for a national house building firm.
  8. I doubt this is phoneticaly correct but would this be acceptable as a way of ending a conversation? "iniku shitsurei shinakaraiba naranain desu" I understand it means, "unfortunately I have to leave" but would it make sense in the context of just ending a conversation your having with somebody you've met in the street?
  9. I've got myself an international driving permit. It costs barely anything and you never know when you might need to act as a getaway driver during a bank heist... ...hmmm should I have said that
  10. yeah you gotta make sure you keep all your nervous energy bottled up untill your good and ready to have a full blown panic attack, and fall to the floor twitiching and whimpering like a vegetable. A vegetable that that has miraculously learnt to twitch and whimper that is.
  11. Referring to pakistani's as 'paki's' as far as I'm concerned is deemed to be racist in all of the UK. I have a few pakistani friends and they would clout me if I used it. Were the people using it British themselves? because it is commonly accepted now that using the word is very much not politically correct and those using it are being racist and aware of it. You may get people of older generations using it without even thinking about it but I believe that is because racism was culturally permisible when they were growing up. I certainly agree with you that gaijin is less offensive though
  12. Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami Read quite a bit of his stuff, he is a bit off the wall but entertaining I find.
  13. Porridge! Porridge with maple syrup is da bomb! so to speak
  14. Just a quick one, I did a search and i'm sure it's been asked before but; What are the time durations (ie. day, week, 2 week ect...) on lift passes at most Japanese resorts? specifically those in Nagano. Any idea of prices for these? I've read a day pass costs about 4000 but was hoping you could get cheaper deals for longer times as I am gonna be there at least a month.
  15. I play a bit of Counterstrike or Day of Defeat every now and then.
  16. I'm white brit but live and was brought up in a city in the UK that has a very large ethnic 'minority'. I also live in the area of the city that has the largest number of indians and pakistani's(the local mosque is visible from my window). The white people in my area are infact by far the minority with black people coming a close forth.. then chinese and then immigrants from eastern Europe. Growing up this led to the interesting situation where me and my white friends were expieriencing racism growing up. This though was outweighed by the racism thrown back and forth between the muslim pa
  17. I recently booked a flight with AirItalia. They made me book a return despite me not wanting to set a return date , so I had to get a flexible ticket that allows you to change the return date while your out there for an extra £50. In all I think the cost of the ticket was £680 and thats with me leaving mid December.
  18. I find that my feet are only really a problem if they start out cold in the morning. As long as I have dried out my boots beforehand my feet may get damp, but because of the activity of moving they never really get too cold to bare. Thats not to say I wouldent try my best to keep them dry, just that I tend not to suffer to much if they get damp. I also wear lots of layers so that my torso is very warm, that way I've got plenty of residual heat to keep me blood flowing and help stop my limbs going numb. When your body gets cold it automatically directs warmth into the torso and head
  19. Your feet do expand over the day due to the weight of gravity on your blood causing it to uild up in your lower limbs. When you sleep it all kinda evens out again. Whilst sleeping you also get slightly taller, as the lack of weight allows the joints to expand very slightly. So yeah your feet will get a bit bigger due to blood accumilation but it is probably mostly just down to sweating into your boots.
