I will confess that the powder will slow me down (a lot), especially as I've deliberately avoided getting powder-specific skis, but will try to keep up on my Elan 666 Mantis 168cm... I may have to invest in new skis if this theory fails.

Yes Big, it is every inch as good as it looks... So much terrain (taking Val d'Isre into account), it makes Whistler look like a pimple.

There will be 4 of us... all with gear (including Phool and his 3 or 4 new pairs of skis...) Will we offend the other commuters by clogging up the car with our stuff?

I've heard that luggage, especially ski gear, might be difficult to lug onto shinkansen. Any one have difficulties in the past with this?
