Sounds like a perfect trip! When you take them into the photo shop just ask for a CD aswell and they will scan the negs and put them on a disc for you. -
Found it in another thread. You are arriving on the 18th March, right? On the Air Do website (in Japanese) AirDo Value 28 from Haneda at 11:25 and 2:30 is 11,500yen somewhere between 10 and 29 seats left on each. This lot Haneda to Sapporo on the 18th on the kokunaisen.com site. First block is normal and the second block is j-class but I don't know what the difference is. The colum with 28 in it is the one where you have to book 28 days in advance. Circle means lots of seats, a number like 4 or 3 is the number of seats left. If the ANA site has similar prices and you

American Idol 2008 (Japan schedule - no spoliers please!)

You are right Thursday. I couldn't resist clicking it -
How much is the switch on fee, Sunrise? I was thinking that it'll probably work out cheaper for me to just keep MMT's phone connected. Kids contract is mad and they try to convince parents they need it by offering all these different alarm and global positioning services. The phone can't be turned off without a pin number and the parents can log into a website to see where the kid (or at least the phone) is. I suppose that global positioning might be quite useful for finding my mum if she gets lost

Yeah, it would be better live. I'm going to miss a lot of it this year cos it starts at 8pm and by the time I've got home from work and given MMT a bath, it's usually 8:30. He'll have to have quicker baths on Saturdays and Sundays for a few weeks! -
New job and how much to expect

Government salaries are always going to be much lower than the private sector. Also those published salaries don't include things like the subsidised housing & insurance to which public teachers are often entitled so you have to factor in those kinds of benefits too when comparing. -

Hi King & CB I'm at work too. -
We are with Docomo. My mum is coming out next month for 2 months so MMT at 17 months old will be getting his first keitai! It's only 1,500 a month for a kids contract so it's cheaper to keep that for visiting friends and family than to have them rent everytime they come out.

Too big for mine. It's strange though - in firefox there is a scroll bar across the middle column so I don't lose the handle names or chat box, and the text in other peoples posts wraps to fit my screen. In IE the middle column expands to accomodate the photos and it's really difficult to read all the posts because I have to scroll left and right to read the text. SG, you are just boasting cos you've got a big screen

I'm doing Master of Teaching (Primary) cos it's the only one that qualifies you for teacher certification. Mine is with CSU in Australia cos with them you can do the whole thing from Japan. -
According to the BBC, 90-plus perceent of Japanese are gunning for Obama.

I think it's more a matter of personal preference than the type of sake. Have a look at this page. http://www.sake-world.com/html/hot-or-cold.html

I think that's reasonable for an experienced teacher bobby 12. It also depends on the holidays. Just started Masters middle of last year. Teach ESL & do copy editing at a huge eye clinic. I get 480man a year including bonuses. Also get housing for only 2man a month & a childcare allowance of up to 5man a month. 36 paid hols + 2 days off a week (don't get National hols). I think it's a pretty good deal. Still struggle though cos Me Tarzan's bar still has loads of loans, my uni course is so expensive and most of my holidays are going on the teaching pracs I have to do. S -

People who complain about winning should be banned!!! Well done guys. I only entered the Sahoro & other weekend one this year cos I figured it'd worth organising babysitting for big prizes. I won a pair of 47 tickets about 3 years ago. -
Just saw in the chatbox that Kokodoko has broken his leg. (Rumour started by Tsondaboy and confirmed by CB) Koko, you must be so gutted. What happened? Hope it's not too painful. How long have you got left of your hols?
