He's about to complete all 54 of Colorado's 14ers (14,000+ -foot peaks in the state) in ONE year. the only other person to do so was Lou Dawson, who took more than 10 years to complete the feat. can't wait for the documentary, should appear in Banff Film Fest. JAPANESE SPONSORS better bring BANFF back next year, it didn't come this year Chris Davenport "Ski the 14ers" http://www.skithe14ers.com/the-project.php

interesting read but is he making this statement to perhaps pump up his (new) avlanche consulting business? don't get me wrong, atkins is a patriarch of the american avalanche forecasting industry. he is second to none in forecasting. but why is he saying this now, after decades in the industry? yet, others have always said the same things: ball up or log roll or just concentrate on getting that air pocket (Bruce Trempter book)

thx again FT, you picked up me, took me to the trees sat, and mended my north face pants!!! what a guy! you should have come to the party after picking me up! this weekend was a dream. good smiles, tons of fun. yes, those trees sat were so sweet, jer and i had to lap them up an untapped line twice--best lines of the year so far kuma had the camera out again sun, snapping photos of me, AK, and mrs. kuma. he's got skills. he showed effort trying the jib; more guts than me. but it needs to be done in daylight. -
... is gay.* We were first on Monday, after 75cm of fresh fell Sunday night!! ] Thanks to Kuma's friend, we were the first to get in a gondie cabin. Stoked, Kuma started screaming. As Karma would have it, the liftie put some J-blokes in the cabin in front of us! But they were just tourist and stood around at the top of the course when we got out. fallen. We lapped it up TWICE before 8am! *disclaimer: by "gay" i mean gay as in stupid, not gay as in homosexual
