  1. Excellent! Good luck DB. Is this the quickest transformation ever into a die hard fan? When`s the tattoo due?
  2. >connackers, you're nuts mate. Quite possible. >My life is a very simple, transparent affair. Don`t care and irrelevant. >There are no lawyers, currencies, secret services, military-industrial complexes or any other such things involved in my life, Yes I fully realise that you are not in fact a country. >so this introspection you keep recommending like a stuck needle is not going to find much to strip away My repeated mentioning of it is because I keep trying to make the same point clear. I obviously am not doing so and for that I apologise. I`m
  3. Thought a little more and read the article and still don`t agree with you. That the most powerful country wants to keep being the most powerful country in the world is obvious and requires no groundbreaking conspiracy only common sense. That they took advantage of 9/11 to increase their power is equally obvious. That`s politics. It`s a big step to go from this to the American government masterminding and carrying out the 9/11 attacks. This step i`m suggesting requires a level of doubt in people and the government that would lead to some very serious questions about the world in whic
  4. I didn`t mean it to be offensive, it`s an honest question. At some point you have to accept that there are things you don`t know and have to go on trust. If you seriously think that a government has the capability and the will to kill thousands of it`s own people in order to start a war which will kill thousands more all for the sake of money then fair enough countries have done so in the past. But surely a little elaborate? How much planning, conversations, documentation, people must have been involved in this? For this to disappear is frankly a hell of a lot more suspicious than
  5. but at what point to you stop doubting? government? community? friends? family? yourself? is this all just a dream......?
  6. So a government led by a complete idiot was able to mastermind and dupe everyone into not seeing that attacking it`s own financial capital would give it the justification for attacking another country?
  7. For those excellent reasons i`m starting to get into punk. My latest discovery is Billy Talent.
  8. Don`t know but it`ll be a 5.45am kick off.
  9. The only way to make it come now is to employ the `spark up to make the bus come` principle. Thus if we all simultaneously break our heaters and kotatsu, destroy all duvets and thermal clothing and lose all ski/snowboarding equipment, we will have the biggest, coldest and deepest dump ever to hit japan in a matter of minutes.
  10. Are they ridiculously busy? Might head down to get a day in before my Christmas Hakuba trip.
  11. Does anyone know what`s going on with this resort? It`s registering 60cm of snow. Is this a glitch or has a shedload of artificial been put down on it? http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=195
  12. Another Crystal Palace supporter for you http://observer.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,1361285,00.html but you have to get half way through the artical to realise. And unless you want people to kick the sh:t out of you i`d go with Spurs for a nickname if you decide to shift your allegiances.
  13. Just think very carefully before you go and buy any oil wells......
  14. You may try to cover your back now, but it`s clearly a sly attempt to undermine the very notion of democracy. This is a direct attack on our whole way of life and what we stand for. Shocking. I`m sure this will not escape the notice of the forces that be.
  15. Burst! Not a chance, though i`m fully expecting it to deflate a little at some point. Can`t wait till the Arsenal game, it`s going to be fantastic. Shame Viera isn`t going to be playing, wouldn`t want you to start making excuses Good to see Liverpool recovering some form, Benitez is claiming they`re going to finish in the top 4. Could be an Everton Liverpool bare knuckle fight for a Champions League Spot! Or does everyone still expect Everton to fade away soon?
  16. Don`t think Kerry would have made much difference. Or that any country with that much power and in America`s position would be acting much different. An interesting article http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1359871,00.html Apologies for the topic shift I like the idea of thanksgiving every culture/country should have a day in which you give thanks for what you have and think about where it came from.
  17. Quote: Originally posted by scouser: Hmmm. What can we do? How long you think Gerrard will stay bobby? (Bit of a pessimistic mood today) Don`t worry it`ll all come good once you beat the Arse on Sunday! At least I hope so, I`ve just put a tenner on you.
  18. And the train network grinds to a halt if there is the deadly combination of autumn and rain.
  19. What are you people doing to your books that makes you worry so much where they`ve been? Books that`ve travelled have a story about them as well as in them. I really like that idea. Even more so with obscure books. Second hand philosophy books are the best. It makes you think about what the previous readers thought about it and adds a whole new dimension to reading.
  20. Think my first was Rage Against the Machine. Still great every now and again.
  21. You can get special swatches now which have a chip in them. So you `charge` them up when you buy a ticket and wave it through the sensors like an electronic pass. Pretty cool but don`t think any japanese resorts are using them yet. Though i saw the watches for sale here.
  22. 3/10 will look at the computer fixing guy in school with a whole new level of suspicion
  23. Yeah! It arrived today! Sooooo seeeexxxy I`d like to thank the wonderful people at prior, my employers without whom none of this would have been possible, the snowboarding community, snowjapan for it`s tireless effort, my credit card company, my mum, my dad, my sisters, my mates, the bloke who dropped it off, my first instructer, the owners of the skibus companies, Nigel, McBoardington McBoardy, Boris the lifty.........
  24. Cheers for the help people. We`re staying self-catering most of the time. But always good to know that there are places to eat out in. Looks like mexicans and indians are the way to go.
  25. You need to be careful that they`ll fit non-burton bindings though. Going to try to get some of the technine toe-straps to put on my drake`s.
