  1. which compared to the rest isn't much, BUT since I'm used to boarding on about and inch in Scotland, 8 metres annually would suffice!!
  2. Is it decent pisted boarding though? Cos although I'm getting better, I'm probably one of the deep powder enthusiasts who isn't ready for proper off piste. Would there be enough to enjoy a day out at Furano?
  3. Has anyone been Canyoning here? Apparently there area couple of spots in Nagano, Niigata and Gunma, was just wondering what ppl thought of it. How much it costs etc etc and if its easily accessed from Tokyo
  4. Was reading today about the many blunders by the japanese Nuclear people, there have been a lot!! The most "Homer-like" story was the mixing of uranium in an open topped vat by hand, setting off a self sustaining chain reaction (I'm not surprised)!!!! **** that, can you imagine your boss saying to you when you punch in at work: " Here you two, um go grab a couple of paddles, a huge pile of uranium and bosh it into that open vat and give it a wee mix around" you'd be like " No **** danger!!"
  5. There is something about Terry Wogan that bugs me....can't quite put my finger on it though

Stick to burgers, hot dogs and chicken (prawns if u like em). I love BBQ's
  8. where in Tokyo is that anyway? Can't read kanji I'm afraid

So while it probably wasn't "full on", there was meaning to the game and it will surely have been at a higher gear than "exhibition standard" I agree, but there is no way that Urawa could compete with Man U if they were giving a decent go at the game. The UK teams just use Japan as a money making exercise, look at Celtic last yea
  10. Is Family Feud the same as Family Fortunes in the UK? 2 teams of families face off against each other and guess what the most popular answers were to a question? "And our survey says.......?" By english food, I take you mean British food? I grew up on it, and across here I really miss it, but I like Italian better so tough luck!!!
  11. G-G, how do you predict quakes? Are you taking the piss? I have obviously missed you saying before, but if you are serious, thats a rather vague prediction. Middle of the road earthquake to hit somewhere on the Japanese islands (high probability). Stevie Wonder could probably see that coming!!
  12. So if this place is closed, is there anything stopping people just hiking up the mountain on their own accord? Not that I plan on doing that anyway, was just thinking....
  13. Really! So what constitutes the difference between a landslide and an avalanche? is there some sort of quantifying parameters that tells you whether a slide is deemed a landslide or an avalanche?
  14. Are there any decent water parks that anyone knows about in the Tokyo area? I know that Oiso long Beach has 1 or 2 slides but don't think it counts as a water park.
  15. If we are splitting shit up, then the UK wouldn't exist in the poll, I believe the nationalities would then be " Scottish" "English" "Welsh" and "Northern Irish" (?) and thats just a boring can of worms to open, lets just keep shit together!
  16. I think pigs as well hump for pleasure. Chimps and other primates will do it to assert a dominant hiearchy in the group, not just for reproduction. Bonobo chimps hump everything, they will have sex with close family members, indulge in Homo sex as well and its all a social thing. A bit like people from Aberdeen!! There is a species of Wolf that indulge in homo sex in order to ensure their rivals waste their sperm. They will give off female like pheromones so that rival males will hoop them, thus wasting their sperm up the ass of other males. After said male has copulated and snoozed off, sh

All the ends of bread go into a big bag (about 3 times the length of a normal Japanese loaf) which sells for about 50 or 100 yen. Sometimes you see them out in the bakeries at the end of the day and sometimes you have to ask for them. I can't remember what they are called though. I think it's just foreigners and th
