  1. You will all be surprised to see Denmark take the title, just like '92
  2. Kintaro, Read the article i provided a link to in my first post! Nofakie: I totaly forgot abuot enya, agree with you 100% Someone once said that you have to go through 2 divorces to really understand country music....
  3. http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/ClientMan.html love google
  4. Forgot Birdland with Manhattan Transfer.. Makes me violent
  5. We got about 7 more months to go before there is a chance of some new snow coming down, so we better kill some time. We have been through al time classic songs, songs we are not proud of, songs we are listening to right now, albums we think of buying (or downloading) etc.... I came across this article the other day, and i have to say We Build this City is plain annoying agreed. Inspired by Blender's list i post my top 3 hate-song list: 1 (by far). What's Going On. Four Non Blonds 2. Nothing Compares To you. Sinead O'Conner. 3. Hotel California. Eagels To qualify for
  6. I'm not that old... 35 years. My first computer, a zx81 clone had 2k of memory! some of it vas reserved for loading basic. so i had about 1200 - 1300 bytes to play with, made my own games.. when i got the 16 k memory expansion, i was on top of the world. i later had dreams of buying this monster The 5150 was able to run good wordprocessing on 16k, with spellchek and all that... It just wasn't that fancy (no rat or roll down menu's) to answer your question.. get a lot of memory! 512 will do, but 1024 will serve you better atb Thunderpants
  7. All this Supermarket-talk higlights a problem: db and my self included likes to go the supa, get everything at one time, and then go home and log on to the internet, but: My town, Osuka has just got one of these AEON supermall's with everything you could think of, and the local shops are suffering. I predict that whithin 5 years the mainstreet will be DEAD here. this town will be a ghost town. and that is something i don't like! ATB Thunderpants
  8. Slow, if i have to vote for either of them, i will have to compare, unless i have completly misunderstood the meaning of the word "compare" it means something like this: hold the items (destinations) against each other and (in this case) make a choise of which tourist destination is the best. if that right? from Britannica: 1 : to represent as similar : LIKEN 2 a : to examine the character or qualities of especially in order to discover resemblances or differences b : to view in relation to And that leaves me with my question again... how to compare Himalayas to New York
  9. How do you compare Himalayas to New York? ATB Thunderpants
  10. Nice discussion, i was just dreaming of some freedom, dreaming of boarding whitout the crowds and whitout the j-pop... but 5k... then again, going home to dk costs about 400.000 yen... ATB thunderpants
  11. thanks for the clarification db, you are my nigger Japanese rap.. hmm don't understand much...
  12. Take it easy in the rap thing! There is actually some good stuff, though i agree that probably 80% is totally crap! If You have any interest in Jazz or funk, rap music is a close realtive. For Jazz people, An artist like Guru is definetly a good choice. If you like some good old George Clinton and some good humor and mega big ego, Notorious BIG is always fun to listen to. Eminen is just soo gay. This brings me to a question to all you native english speakers, can one of you please explain the meening of the N-word, seems like it is ok for blacks to use but for whites, it's a no
  13. Not in my dreams! Toque, do you know this Dean Cummings, would it be a "no go" for a 5. season semi lame snowboarder like me? (not that i would ever get permission from the Ayatollah) ATB Thunderpants
  14. Yeah, here in Oosuka too, we got the "ghost furniture store" among others. My wife and i talked about these kind of shops. There are a few of them in Tokunoshima, where she is from, She told me that people actually buy things in these shops from time to time out of pity for the owners ATB Thunderpants
  15. Seems like Neil Young is the father of all styles according to the PlasmePeople. scouser, the Jazz thing will grow on you if you give it a try. If your mind is open, i'll introduce you.... ATB Thunderpants
  16. The Jazz side is very limited! And why does Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan pop up right next to Geroge Clinton, who i searched for? while Earth, Wind and Fire are far out to the right???? hmm But still ok for finding some new names to add to the 10700+ tracks, Pm for ftp ATB Thunderpants
  17. Maybe Wrong tread, but must tell: My first LP was ABC's Lexicon Of Love, with The super crooner Martin Frye in front, recently i downloaded it, and have been playing it over and over on my friday night trips from home to snowland, it is still 100% cool..... Madness was my big thing too.. still cool. The Nelson picture is world class ATB Thunderpants Happiness can't buy you money (tom tom club)
  18. So inspiring reading here! Too bad i'm stuck in work, stress. didn't make it to Tsugaike either.. getting a little tired of the whole japan-work-all-the-time-setup. feeling better now ATB Thunder(working)pants
  19. Ocean, you are not looking at the bigger picture! Israel is a big part of the Iraq war thing, i belive that Iraq was a potential threat to Israel, and that was one of the reasons for the war. Needless to say that the Iraq war is one of the reasons for the recent terror attack in spain. USA's support of Israel, who in the eyes of the arabs and others are supressing the palestininas is another. Japans support of USA's ME politics is, in the eyes of Al Q. a reason for an attack here in Jp. Any country that follows USA's pro Israel politics is in danger including my country Den
  20. oh, Fattwins, one more question When you say easy, do you mean Fattwins-easy or Thunderpants-easy? ATB, and thanks Thunderpants
  21. Gee thanks a LOT, Siren, does that mean that we have to buy liftcard, to get to heli area, if we choose not to hike??
  22. Please, i need some quick info! My wife and i are planning a trip up to Tsugaike this saturday, we want to do the Heliride. Anyone done that, is it fun? What is the deal with parking at Tsugaike, they charge, right? is the parking open all night, is it ok to sleep in the car? Thanks a lot for your time ATB Thunderpants
  23. 41 replies, and no one mentioned Israel with one word? that is very strange! (did i overlook something?) I am 100% in favor of the state of Israel, but just imagine if Israel was not there. Or at least imagine if USA was a fair partner in peace brokering. then the world would look a lot more peacefull, but also very taihen for the jewish people!
