  1. Crystal Palace!? Of all the teams in London you choose Crystal Palace!? Surely if you wanted a team with NO stars choose Barnet, Millwall, Leyton Orient....Tottenham Ha ha only kidding, Palace do win the prize for the ugliest manager though...Iain Dowie, permanently chewing a lemon. As for the chants (which is the real reson I decided to log on today) it was an absolute disgrace especially when you consider the "Galatico" status that Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo have at Real.
  2. Those flags = RUBBISH!!!! The American flag is quite stylish though but: "The International Best Flag Award" goes to........ BRAZIL!!!
  3. Van Nistelrooy's tackle was seriously dodgey!! I'd have banned him for a month..... and I don't support The Arse....I have a sneaking suspicion Chelski are gonna sneak it.
  4. Cheers Scouse Good to be back on the forum. Not so good to back in Blighty!!!!!! Does anyone here have any suggestions for where an English language teacher with a UCLES TEFL certificate and 1 years experience can go for a good time!!!???? My hitlist so far includes: Czech Republic Estonia, Lituania or Latvia Spain..... As you can see Europe is the domain where I'd like to stay. But I'm open to ideas.....
  5. How about.... ----------------------Lehman---------------------- --Lehman---Lehman--Lehman--Lehman- --Lehman---Lehman--Lehman--Lehman- ---------------Lehman--Lehman-------------- another stunning mid week chokefest by THE Arsenal, second round this year then....?????
  6. Has anyone ever read Noam Chomsky, he seems to dislike the Reagan Administration rather a lot. He provides a few pointers on why Regans antiques "escaped" the American Publics attention. Dare I say the exact same thing is happening now. Nothing is "escaping" the attention of Joe Public, it is being "justified". I read a newspaper article in The Yomuri Shimbum, via Associated Press, that Bush keeps a gun that Saddam waved at the US trpops when he was found. It was unloaded. Metaphorically speaking.....
  7. this web site will likely be more helpful. www.raileurope.co.uk/inter-rail/index.htm
  8. I'd highly recommend Wales. A wonderful country full of pipe smoking farmers, rain, hills and bogs. Add to this that no one will speak to you in English in Mid and North Wales and you'll have a great time. On a more serious not, why don't you try "Eurorail" I'm not fully aware if it is avaliable to people outside of Europe, or the age restrictions, but it costs 250 and you can ride free around the wonderful European rail network for 1 month (i think). So technically you can travel from Casablance to Copenhagan, Prague to Paris! www.euro-rail.org/
  9. I've been accused of being gay, but I'm not. What does that mean? I don't giggle, haven't got limp wrists, don't purse my lips, bitch aboput people etc. All the stereotypes (often fulfilled) of a gay man. Oh Oh and I have girl buddies....
  10. Nekobi aren t you thinking of of Liberia s flag? The best flag in my opnion was either the old USSR or Sri Lanka. As for the debate about New Zealands flag, sounds like inferiority syndrome to me. As for the Union Jack it has all the crosses on it for each country, St George, St Andrew and the Irish one.....but the Cross of St David, black on yellow would ve ruined the colour scheme!
  11. I find the Union Jack a bit of an insult being as it is supposed to incorporate all of the UK. England...check, Scotland....check, Northern Ireland.....check and Wales....erm. There ain't room for a bloody great red dragon!? Well it would, of course, ruin the symmetry that kamo seems to admire. As for NZ flag, well what would u have?
  12. Yeah I was in Tracks new years to. Good night! Ben and Jenny who run the place upstairs are really nice people
  13. Having been to Hakauba over new years I noticed that, eventhough the boarding was wicked, the nightlife was erhhh poor.... So Im calling on all you experienced folks for a bit of advice. Where is good for boarding AND nightlife ? I have a friend coming over from the UK and dont want to let the boy down.... cheers all
  14. Oh come on...dont you think the bunny is cute. Id definately take the Nova Bunny over Miss Kitty, who incidentally, is celebrating her 25th birthday soon. Do I hear wedding bells.....
  15. Chamonix has a lot to do. Loads of ski areas around there about 6 in all I think. Morzine and Avoriaz (SP) are pretty massive. try www.natives.co.uk for some better advice.
  16. There is NO excuse for remaking a comedy series. Just accept it for what it is. They tried to remake One Foot in the Grave and Men Behaving Badly, both of which were funny series in there own right, so why remake 'em. It 's a tad insulting to Americans and Brits that TV Stations feel the need to change the humour so that people can "understand it". You don't see the BBC/ITV trying to remake Friends or The Simpsons. Dancing b/f what your suggesting with the 'American Office Version' is what many people might call Americanisation, the fact they they plan to take someone else's idea, t
  17. It is nudging Alan Partridge off my number 1 for comedy spot.
  18. Cheers for the advice. But I've been trying off my heels....maybe thats why they always look so bunk. Ocean, though I'm not unfamiliar to the occasional hammering from doormen, not on my 'holiday' a? So should sort start turning before I even get into the air....ahem.....well makes sense really!
  19. Though I do try, I ve yet to master pulling off any quality 360 s. So any of you people who are semi decent, can you give me any tips? Like, where do you get the "rotation" from? Ta.
  20. .stoke. You're just confusing the poor girl. The Queen actually has bugger al to do with choosing them. Besides she always seems to raise questions that could be explained simply, but never are.
  21. No it would be DAME Cheesewoman. "Sirs" (or Knights of the British Empire (gufawwwww)) are chosen by the British Government. These "honours" also include: Memeber of the British Empire MBE, Order of the British Empire OBE and a variety of others such as CBE etc that are handed out every New Year. In fact out of a whole load of people that are awarded honours, only a few are famous, most go to the public servants. They where started by King George in recognition of peoples efforts during and after the war. In this case I accept it as a noble and honourable offering. BUT when the gover
  22. Moogie I hope to get up there a good few times this season, there is a thread a few months back about the place and transport. Buses from Tennoji and Umeda. How you planning on getting there? I'm a great navigator if you got a car.
  23. Does the shuttle bus go there? And how far is it?
