  1. you can do Tsurugi in a day but not when you dont start before 6am. The problem isnt the distance it is the snow and rocks in spring! King ski jumping here we come!
  2. Thursday if you went somewhere else you could give an objective answer! Lets focus on the goodness of spring and summer instead. GN MP get some pics up of rafting mtbing and etc in another thread.
  3. Tateyama got new snow you can see the new slides. Kamikouchi is a debris mess this season, Heard from friends. Tateyama wouldnt take much planning if you stayed in a lodge there. Stay in the one in that saddle and you can be on the peak very quickly. I would carry crampons just in case. the little cheap 4 pin ones wounld be fine enough really. Fuji in November??? No mountians to shelter you usally means shear ice. My father inlaw spent 2 months in the hospital after death sliding down Fuji.
  4. post office ground service but you might consider doing a box instead.
  5. You had better plan cause youll have to cross the slide paths
  6. Youll need a least a meter of snow before you can run Fuji in November.
  7. In Hakuba the biggest boom is the house market where J-peeps are moving from nagano, matsumoto, Tokyo to retire etc. So you might want to explain what Hakuba is becoming?
  8. No GN Niseko was not my point at all. That is why I used other spots as examples.
  9. Shiga Kogen Has zero nightlife, no crowds, lots of lifts, limited night skiing, trees are somewhat allowed depending on the area. Hakuba has better nightlife but it is still growing. no crowds at your planned time, limited night skins, Trees permited at Some resorts. Night skiing at Niseko is maybe the best in the world besides somewhere back in the eastern US in a snow storm. It costs a fortune to run and invest in those lights. You wont night ski in shiga or hakuba.
  10. Shameless plug yep and that's fine. The point being really isn't about Niseko but about a character assumption based on a reaction to a disappointment.
  11. Again linking why someone would be disappointed to being a control freak is just psycho babel BS. Where do you come up with that? You don't go to Mexico to get hit by 5 days of rain.
  12. BS plain and simple! when you set people up for an experience, that doesnt live up to the hype, they are disappointed. That does not make them a control freak.
  13. That is a load of BS. In General. You have some people saying that all you are going to get is this. When you dont get it and are sold on it then you get upset. If I went to the beach in auz for 1 week and saw clouds and rain then why would I be happy. That does not make me a control freak that makes me human for believing the trip would be no other way.
  14. Still a lot of risk unless you are already at that money level. The land that made people rich was a small fraction of that.
  15. For right now Powderhound out of Auz. considering the amount of pics that he has which are good I think some more are going to get picked up!
  16. Since I moved to Haks almost no hayfever!
  17. BBQing, glow in the dark frisbie drunk, Mtbing until I broke my shocks! gardening shopping and a little more drinking.
  18. Just want to say congrats for his first 2 published pictures. Kuma worked very hard the last 2 seasons and this year It all finally came together!
