Widespread increase in prices isn't going to happen. And like others have said, with so many places closeby to practically anywhere, the ones that did would simply lose out on numbers.

In my mind accommodation - more choice in Hakuba and more going on when it gets dark snow quality - both can be great, personally when I have been Shiga Kogen wins crowds - Shiga Kogen not as busy in my experience convenience - about the same distance from Nagano

I have just moved job and like it so far apart from one thing. The whole staff line up in a morning and do that crappy radio warm up thing. I'm finding it hard to get out of doing it but even with everyone else doing it I can't help but feel a fool. Any suggested exit strategies?!

I wouldn't mind taking some pics like muikabochi! Generally views, landscapes, places I go to, I suppose. I'd like something decent though and something that will last me. Honestly bit vague that, I don't really know hey., I need to start reading up more and getting to know whats out there. I suppose I'm not big on the idea of carrying around tons of gear with me so I suppose something more compact will do it.

I need a new camera. Can't decide if I want to just get a simple point and shoot or one of these DSLRs. What would people recommend for a good point and shoot?
