  1. He he... Back to surfers, Had a pretty strong ne swell today. wasn't anything special at all, the dolphins playing with me were more enjoyable.
  2. I'd be borrowing a bag or getting some bubble wrap spook. Wouldn't trust those dodgy baggage handlers.
  3. Spook, last Jan was pretty fun. So there is always the odd chance that you will have fun waves (nothing like E-bay though!). You know that if you don't take your board that will guarantee waves which would be good for us! .
  4. Now that wouldn't be too much to ask for! I saw your pics mantas, you have your boy on a real board now. what dims is it?
  5. Quads are fun. hard to describe but not as controlled as a thruster.. Kai scores a thruster tomorrow. He can experiment when he masters that!
  6. Mantas, I have a 6'0 - 21 -2 1/2 fish. It's great fun especially in average surf. Had a bit of a mishap in sloppy surf today, something went wrong whilst doing a floater & instead of landing it, my board flipped over and my ass landed on centre fin. Needless to say, fin snapped off and plug ripped out. Was worried that I would now have 2 assholies but making it to the beach confirmed that I still only had 1! Side fin spared my gonads thank god! Now I have a twinnie!
  7. welcome back to reality mate! I know what you are going through. At least you are coming back to summer, try coming back in the middle of winter!!! Waves are shiat here too.. That long right point reminds me of a place close by.....

They are talking about 12%. Dodgy places will pay super on income less sal sac to save em cash. Still even at 9% it's a very very good deal, especially compared to Japan.
  10. That was a great contest. i think Kelly was pushing the limits more though. Who tries to get bazzed a the Bay? Balls +++++ Pipe was rocking too today. Glad it will either be Mick ot Joel.. Hope Parko can pull it off as he has a better record than Mick there.. No love here still. going fishing tommorow!
  11. Mantas, just using green prawns. I haven't had much luck on plastics or my blades. Caught a Shovel nose last week on my lighter gear, was a fight and a half!

  16. Well hard question to answer because chicks loved me in Aussie & in Japan, so I really noticed no difference there but you say that you are Amerikano? well that might be different. Beer is good too, but give me sho chu any day.
  17. I could have done the south wall trek as it's protected from the N winds but it's a hassle and didn't have much time. Glad someone is getting some! Getting desperate now!
  18. swell will hit tonight but we have GALE FORCE NE winds....
  19. AC/DC are the bomb. Their last record was really explosive and considering their age! I use to get home and drum along to them in the old days. If I had been able to get a ticket in OZ I would have gone for sure... Probably their last tour.
  20. don't worry snowhuntress. Many a time (eg ordering at a restaurant) I would speak perfect Japanese (with Nagoya ben) and the person would just stand there like a stunned mullet. I think it throws them as they are expecting to hear English. saa, After a long time in the place you will naturally pick up an accent, especially if you have Japanese mates. Sounds better I think.
