    Not the best place to go - many better places in Nagano than Karuizawa.

    Cooool, when do they do that? I suppose when they need to, but I'd love to see it.

    I can't say I've had any problems myself. Maybe I'm not giving them as much grief as you guys - I need to improve.

    I know lots of resorts don't seem to open until there's lots of snow, and read about GALA's not been open and the like. Any good parks open currently?

    Not really relevant, but, I like the place. Great snow over there.

    Anyone know the words used (in E and J) to describe snow noises. Not the noise of it falling (!), but the noises of it when you ski/board/walk on it.

    Noone will tell you in honesty that wet heavy snow is good for much - compared to the light fluffy variety. It just isn't.

    Eating slurping noises. No matter how hard I try, I just can't help it. I hate it. Nothing worse than 'hearing' a babe eating noodles, oh I just hate that.

    That gets me as well, cal. When I took my parents there they just looked at the place in disbelief before I had to explain to them why they only got 3 french fries.
