Naeba is one of the more famous resorts in Japan, and was the dream weekend for many OLs and their dates in the ski boom years. Its a decent place, but suffers from a bottleneck in the middle part and the dreadful Prince Hotel at the bottom (that's maybe a bit harsh). Still a place that gets busy on holidays but if you go on a weekday theres lots to enjoy. They hold the Fuji Rock Festival in July as well.

Anyone here play pachinko, or even understand its appeal. I tried it once a couple of years back - quickly lost some cash, got a headache, and smelt badly of smoke after 10 minutes. It would be interesting to know if we have any packinko-heads here?
