  1. nice one. I think she'll be pleased. I hear a lot drop out of Happo Racing Club - too hard for them training after school 4 days a week and racing on the weekend

  6. I have recently shipped a 20ft container from the UK to Hakuba, I had a few quotes and Nippon Express was the most expensive. If you use a local Japanese company then you know what you are paying for - for example if any problems arise in customs clearnance, delivery in Japan etc... I used a local UK company and though the price was very reasonable I did have a few little hicups on arrival as well as delivery.

Compromise Reached on Olympic Course Tuesday, December 2, 1997 Though there has been no official comment, a compromise has allegedly been reached in the more than five-year battle between Japanese officials and the governing body of skiing over the length of the men's Olympic downhill course in Nagano, Japan. On Monday, the NAOC (Nagano Olympic Organizing Committee) allegedly agreed to lengthen the downhill course by 279 feet to 5,791 feet.   15. Use a walkman, and listen to Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf. You'll be suprised at how fast you get down the slope.
  16. Not actually a skiing accident, but I fell from my moutain bike while riding at Echo Valley Ski resort a few summers ago. Spent 2 very boriing weeks in hospital. The ski resort paid out about 300,000 yen to me as insurance.

  18. Try Sugadaira. I went there for New Year last year, very quiet on "white davos" esp. the advanced courses.
  19. Correct me if I'm wrong but I beleive this was used by Japanese ski manufactures to block the import of foreign made skis. A little bit like the make up manufactures who said that Japanese skin is different.
