  1. Danz, like the idea. Ocean, complaining could work if we all lived in a society whose motto was not -- Deru kui wa utareru - The nail that sticks up will be hammered down(Don't know the English equivalent) When I walk into the shops in Kanda I see more and more powder oriented products. The longer, fatter boards. The short fat-fat skis. I saw this same tendency a few years back when the freeride evolution began to hit Japan. This would hint at the real changing force being the maker's and the products they want to push. It can only be a matter of time. BUT in the meantime,
  2. Ever been lying in bed trying to get to sleep and have an enlightening question pop into your head? Okay, perhaps some of you have other things pop into other parts of the body, but let's leave all comments re this one alone. Anyway it struck me last night that there was perhaps a double standard happening on many Japanese feilds. Everywhere you go these days seems to have a table top for huge airs, one makes, quarter pies etc. for people to practice breaking their bones, necks, backs, etc. Just last Sat. I saw a skier pull an amazing back flip off the huge kicker at Kandatsu w
  3. Thanks barok, but it's a sad way to have to make the hundred.
  4. Don't want things to get messy around here on account of me, so I have deleted my original comment. If I could bow now I would.
  5. Guys, sorry if this struck a bone. Not my intention at all. No qualms with anything to do with boarding or SJG folks, just would've like to see something like "don't worry skiers, your turn for the big goodies is coming up too..." Don't get me wrong and think me unappreciative of the lift ticket give aways etc. As a recepient of one of these giveaways I am extremely grateful for the chance to win these. Going on all the giveaways to date they have been neither board nor ski specific and so I was surprised to see this. Boarder peoples, SJG, accept my apologies if I offende
  6. It says in my job description that I am free to undertake research that would benefit my understanding of the task present. There doesn't seem to be anything pointing to this research being work related, so here I am on a work day doing my research on company time, company modem and getting paid for it. 7. Ocean; not that I have the right too or anything like that, but I declare you an official Kiwi. (Of course I understand the implications etc. of this one so it is entirely optional to accept this.)
  8. I understand the Aussie's excuse is that "they are not playing well...."
  9. Blowing on your harp? You should be in a circus for an act like that!
  10. Okay so I had the flasks and the food in all my available pockets and yes I was comgin down through the trees, but I WAS NOT RAMBLING ANYTHING LIKE WHAT YOU SUGGEST BADMIG! Besides the screams of joy, there was other stuff said but I cannot detail this on this forum. [This message has been edited by mogski (edited 25 January 2002).]
  11. Ocean I thought we were going to keep this part of ourlives secret! How dare you publicise our relationship like this! How dare you! How dare you!
  12. You know, you really shouldn't use derogatory words like "indy." What country does a frontside grab come from?
  13. Ocean; It's as badmig's put it. belle; Your still my lass! Thanks! Printed and pocketed should our plan B (stay tonight or Sat.) eventuate. No JPY 3,000 or so places?
  14. Just had to share this joke with everybody. A bus driver was driving his bus along a street in a bad part of town, as bus drivers do. Everyday the bus driver would come across a passenger who would be rude and violent and threaten his family etc. It was a pretty streesful job having to do his route. This day had been a pretty bad day, drug addicts, gang members and escaped convicts had been on and off his bus and shattered his nerves to bits, but he still remained the friendly bus driver. Chatting to the passengers as they got on etc. It was getting close to home time and the
