  1. Uh wouldn't doing something like this equate to extortion and end up turning the tables on yourself? I mean I can understand the emotion invloved, but don't let it cloud your judgement. For a fee of 50% I would travel there and do the job for you. I am 195cm and 85kg. Big enough to scare the bejebbers out of most people.
  2. What of that little peice did you not get SKI? The idea of a air in a certain place and landing on a chairlift if done correctly and by professionals could be quite commical. Of course dangerous at that, but definitely commical if excuted properly.

I take it you aren't serious with that cause everyone knows you are not allowed to jump off the lifts I do agree with you Mr. Wigs on the terrian and skill base theory and I do agree that some places skiing under the lift is crazy given the gradients that some have, but surely a little bit of commonsense should be given to under-lift terrian that is relativly safe for all and then those that are being flat out no-no for all levels. I don't disagree with the rul
  4. I have one question regardin the skiing under lifts thing that I cannot find an good answer for: Why is skiing under the lifts such a bad thing? Where is the danger in this? Please do not take this as me being an advocate or a promoter of. I am merely trying to establish what it is that is deemed to be so dangerous.
  5. At 85 I wouldn't care if my partner was having an affiar. Hell if you can get that far without one then you have done a pretty good job. Let the old man revel in the bosom of someother woman. Hell I know that if I had to..um...well I would defintely want a little younger. Still good on her for standing up for her morals.
  6. Okay help an amature out. I look at that photo of the river there and it doesn't look too bad. Doesn't seem that scary, but then again I am only looking at it. What are the hidden dangers in that part? Touqe, the "ducks" name is GOD.
  7. Okay, got to Google and runs a search under images for...wait for it...here it comes...tree wells!!! The first pic you get is the one I linked.

  9. Here's one from the library of bad slogans from this auto company: いいもの長く Literally translated means "good things long" The English equivalent given to this was "Creating Together" I am sure you could imagine the wonderful days spent by the native English speakers on this one.
  10. If they get paid big bucks to issue that then I wanna work there! I know I can do as equally a gooda job!
  11. Telleboy you could solve the club problem by walking around on your knees. That way you should be about the same height Invest in knee pads though. In my experience the floor is a very hard, dirty and unforgiving place. Unless of course you are giving to it " title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" />
  12. Go to bars and look for girls Both rarities in most places, but hey it certainly fills in the time from dark till morn. The fun is in the searching for. It helps to not think about the reality that neither exist though. Try it some day. You will either go crazy from the pain of this or you will just go plain crazy. Whichever way I figure you can't really lose much. Once you tip the scles to the crazy side there really isn't much point in grading the levels of crazy.
  13. Nego's fail with 10 companies so they halve the price. My guess is they offered a half price to these guys too, but something was not right with the other parts of the books.
  14. Thought the same thing re the park myself FT. I can donate 10yen toward this. Anyone else?
  15. veronica, a tree well is the area at the base of tree that is snowless while all around is walled way high with snow. This happens because of the overhang of the branches of the tree and the wind ciculation round a tree base as it passes on down. Here\'s what often in tree wells I have seen very few tree wells in J-land, but that's only because there is nothign more than scraggly looking jiisan trees
  16. Mudguts, I don't ski or snowboard. I hate the sports. I hate snow, I hate the cold and most of all I despise that stuff they call powder.
  17. I could say something oppurtune here about me in the back with your...no, that is not nice as I am rooting for your success this year with baby FT. Back to the thread, I wish I had pix to post
  18. You can Kayak in that too?! At 6'4" or so I could probably sleep under and be protected from the environment, but sleeping in it that is not gonna happen.
  19. You folk call that a car? It's a matchbox toy done drugs! I am happy to say that I am too big to be able to drive somethign like that.
  20. I gotta agree with you there FT. Recreation shouldn't have to cost so much.
  21. Nah forget Niseko. Nothing special there. Bad terrian, finickle snow, too many trees and far too many people. Oh and the number of foreigners up there is crazy. Makes the whole place scary with all the possible bulgraies and theivery that could happen with all them around. There is no bars or anything to enjoy after the painful skiing/boarding experience. It is just dead up there. Anyone with the slightest bit of interest in doing this mega resort stuff in Niseko has the wrong idea.
  22. What's this?! Someone has stolen my idea!?!! I gotta start patent proceedings earlier! Quick web research shows the SOS Bug to be big and cumbersome and somewhat full of efficient use bugs. My desing will be the size of a penlight battery operated by the same and will fit into pre-fitted pockets in all clothing and other itmes of value that can and will get lost. It will be activated with a push similar to that whihc you find on those singing birthday cards and the activiation of one device will activate all within a range of 2m. Similar deactivation system to save battery po
  23. That story brings to mind a good invention that I should start on. Beacons for gloves, skis, poles, goggles, favourites beanies etc. All the stuff that can possiblly be buried in those amaxing powder falls. This could save all the poor powder hounds alot of cash each year. Anyone want to invest?
