  1. Nothing but Armani and Country Road shoes for these feet at work. Weekend sneaker wear is Oakley. (Gotta deal with them. I get to go to their super cheap family sales!)
  2. Thanks for that slow! Tis my experience with Kanpach that it is okay until you get to the Takido Junction of the shutoko. From there it is only 8km to the Kanetsu on ramp and yet it can take up to 1.5hours to get there! For a main road it has way to many traffic lights! I plan to leave early morning like around 4am so I hope things won't be too crowded!
  3. FT you did write 21MB didn't you? Imagine my surpirse when my puter starts to dl 120MB?! You sure you got those figures correct?
  4. Maybe there or chasing danz and Mr* at Kagura. DECISIONS DECISIONS!
  5. Gotta friend going to Nozawa, but I would like to catch up with some SJ peoples so I am in a wait and see where most are going mind. My only problem with Naeba and all is Kanpachi now that I live in Kamakura. Makes for one hellva long drive when it is crowded. However tis one of my favourite areas Niigata. What to do?!
  6. mogs going this weekend! Thanks for the advice FT. Got the ok from the missus and we will all be travelling to snow land. Now all I need is a place.
  7. At least she wil accept to go Sat. Mine seems to have cold feet all the damn time!
  8. In the winter around the house it is bare feet snug inside sheepskin boots. Outside tis sneakers. Summer is bare feet most times with sandals the others.
  9. Thanks! As you can see I didn't pay much attention at school.
  10. The difference between the two is the same as the difference between the words Aracnoid(sp?) and spider. One is commonly used the other not. Both mean the same thing. Think bug & insect. Although it hsould be noted that spiders do not fit in here, just as they do not in the english term "bug" cause they aren't a bug. Something to do with anthrapology(correct?)
  11. ANd I thought my year was shaping up to be bad. FT you deserve a beer! But make sure it is in a plastic cup and poured by someone else just incase you damage yourself in the process of getting it.
  12. Quote: Originally posted by linalmeemow: It was originally called "World in Union" and was sung by Kiri te Kanawa for the RWC in 1991 or 95. Ah, that would be Dame Kiri te Kanawa thank you
  13. What about that lingeries Super bowl thingy? Was that only per per view stuff?
  14. I think they have in the Sony Plaza shops every now and then.
  15. I had the same thing happen to a really old pair of skis years back. You cannot fix the chip but you can make it waterproof by using an expoxy resin or just straight resin. Pack it in and smooth it off a little before drying so you don't need to sand too much and further damage your top sheet. The shop will do the smae thing so don't waste your money on taking it in. Any sports shop carrying surf boards will seel water proof epoxy resin which you shoulod be able to get for about 2,000 yen. The only other thing you might wanna check for is whether the ding has caused struct
  16. I'm looking for a job right now! I can do everything you are doing. I bet I can do it better! Give me the contact details of your boss!
  17. I never started snowboarding for the same reasons FT. Still way too much to learn and having to much damn fun doing. Doesn't mean I don't like boarding. I rode with a boarder for most of his time in J-land. We had a balst togther. When I started out playing golf at 11 I was ridiculed by all the old fuddies. None would play with me and there were very few others my age to play with. In fact the old peoples wouldn't let me on the course some days because I was too young to join their ranks. Didn't matter that I could hit further, play better and new the rules better. I was just too
  18. Touqe can't join a company one day and expect to be President the next. Gotta go through the processes first. Skiing is shooting for where the mainstream is now. Not where it will be. That will come next. There will always be the freeskiers, but not necessariuly the new schoolers. Hot them first now when they are young and you get a loyal follower for life. Look at McD's marketing strategy with the Family set oriented at children. FT, still bogged down with moving but planning to hit the mountain next weekend.
  19. What J-land needs is a good promotor of the new school of skiing. People need to realise that skiing can be associated with a similar culture to the snowboarding one biut up by Jake and freinds. Skiing still has in thei country the image of fluorescent jackets, tight pants and fur lined gloves. Salomon or any other major company with the cash and the will to spend combined with a savvy resort offering everything to back up the "culture advertising" can easily make it work in a few years. The potential is there the resources not.
  20. Just write the word "Copy" on somewhere on the invoice in big letters and all shall be fine. Obviuously they are not wanting an original and only require the onvioce copy for some officail matters other than arranging payment. Perhaps they will use it as a quote to gain approval from bosses?
  21. That kid's going huge!!!! Anyone else having trouble with the vid feed?
