  1. Really very sorry for the delay in responding to this.... we've all been a bit too busy for our own good lately and things are getting missed. Anyway, we are hoping to look at this a bit more & get something moving early next week. Thanks.
  2. Sunny again here. Bring on that cool weather. After the rather frantic & frustrating events of the last week or so (too much work & related..), we are all taking a "no computer" holiday this weekend to try and recharge a bit.... so we've decided to give the Chat Box a bit of a holiday as well. Sorry about that, but it will be back on Tuesday. Have a good weekend.
  3. Thanks domokun and Creek Boy What exactly do you mean by a "template"?
  4. Hi CB, thanks. Please do send info on if you have any. It's been a really crazy week here - we've had a few setbacks with development things on this end (and still waiting for the green light on a few other things we are doing) and while things are pretty much back on track now it has probably delayed everything by about a week or so. So sorry we aren't able to put much thought into this, heads are exploding with other things. Technical people, do those design specs we posted before seem ok for us to go ahead with the comp? Thanks for the help folks.
  5. Hi We'd like to go ahead and do something about this... but need to get the specs right for the submissions. What do you think? For the last one it was this: Quote: The specs of the FINAL DESIGN will need to be as follows: --- 300dpi- 600dpi; --- size: 4in x 4in OR 3in x 10in; --- Clear background; --- CMYK; --- 4 colors max.; --- no photos. Acceptable Software Applications (all versions of): --- Adobe Photoshop; Adobe Illustrator; Macromedia Freehand Acceptable File Formats: --- TIFF, EPS, JPEG, PSD (300 - 600 dpi) --- Both Mac and PC formats are acc
  6. We are using a new font on the site when we give the site all our updates next month... I wouldn't call it a logo as such, just a different look to the name. We're not asking for a "new logo" here with this competition - just a design that will look good on "sj stuff". And we might use it in places on the site as well (like we currently do with the mountains at the top of this page). Am I making sense? I'm tired.
  7. Yes this is the winner last time, and how the current stickers look
  8. That is certainly a good idea. Feedback and comments - thank you! Keep them coming. We can possibly get something up next week and get the ball rolling.
  9. Anyone know of any good places to get things made? Before we go much further we really need to think through costs and everything - as we don't have much (er, any) that we can throw at this up-front....
  10. No skulls, pandas or death images I think.... another good condition is, SJ has the final vote on the winner. Here's the current sticker
  11. OK we will do this then. Last time the "prize" (as such) was the design being used on the sticker, and also giving SJ permission to use it how it in any way. That sound ok? Ideas, folks.... ideas will really help us get this going much much quicker than if we have to sit down and think it through!
  12. Yes thanks for that. Personally I think something simple would be good. (And we will be having a new font to play with soon.... shh). Should we setup a competition then folks?
  13. That would be great indeed! If there is interest, we shall put together some kind of competition again...
  14. Thanks for posting this CB. We're really interested and like the idea of doing something, though we're going to be cramming about 3 months of work into the next 6 weeks or so, such is the amount of work to be done for our site update.... so we do need a bit of help!
  15. I have just asked a contact in Yokoteyama - apparently this is basically true, though not sure on the details of where they can and can't...
  16. Yes, right, here we go. It's all rather predictable. The only thing we control, or wish to control, is dealing with problems and issues that arise on these Forums and also trying to prevent them from happening. If you do not like the way we run things here and cannot accept any of the terrible terrible policies that we have, you can simply refrain from posting on these Forums.... we're just fine with that.
  17. Just deleted the last two posts (which obviously are no longer visible!) Sorry folks, but can we please refrain from bad-mouthing & likely controversial discussions about ex-members or people who can no longer post or people who just no longer post on these forums. There's a number of reasons for this, including: a) in the case of them no longer being able to post, they are unable to answer to any comments aimed at them; we don't want to waste time answering questions and explaining about previous bust-ups on here and giving it the spotlight again; c) ほか; The above
  18. Perhaps we should not discuss people who are no longer on the Forums (for a number of reasons). Thank you.
