That's the last time I go riding with you! ;-) Well there won't be any problems on next seasons Mt Granview trip, they only have single lifts. -

Agree with you there MO. Sounds like a great idea. It would make sharing a ski lift with a boarder a lot easier. -
How about Mt Rokko. Mt Rokko overlooks Kobe, has a number of good hotels, easy to get to with public transport, nice and romantic at night (the lights of Kobe) and has a snow park. It's not the place to go if you want to ski all day on great slopes (that's Mt Granview), but as an introduction to snow and skiing it would be great. There is no listing on SnowJapan but a quick google search should get you the info you need. If you then decided that you wanted to go to an actual ski resort there are plenty of day trips by bus from Kobe and Osaka. While generally the snow in that part o

Based on what you saw, would it be possible to ski around Mt Fuji. ie start at one point on the top and descend like a cork screw around the mountain. -

padding for snowboarding
onehunga replied to littleJ's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
I've seen these in the shops, most sports shops sell them when they have there winter stock in. think long bike shorts with pieces of padding inserted, and long or short sleeved T-shirts with padding. -
The best way to watch Star Wars

Doesn't the documentary start by saying it happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Maybe some of the "humans" tried to escape from the empire and ended up on little old earth. Maybe they are the aliens Tom Cruise and his weird arsed religious mates go on about. -
Will the plate and screws stay in, or do they come out one the bone has healed?
