  3. We are looking at flights for a week or so at new years, just have to decide on a resort now. Really would like to go back to Rusutsu, but flights to Sapporo from Perth are either painful or expensive, or both. Any suggestions for somewhere that we can access out of Tokyo? At the moment, am looking at maybe Myoko or Nozawa. We are both intermediate to advanced snowboarders, I am looking for somewhere with a good variety of terrain, would like to get into the trees as much as I can, the other half is happy to come into the trees but also likes nice steep groomers. As far as village / accom

  5. Gives you plenty of time to organize friends to bring beer and share, but the pizza might not be safe to eat by then
  6. It depends if the person who made the order has already paid for them or if you would be expected to shell out for them when they arrive If they have already paid for them then just check the address is correct and stuff your face, call some mates to bring some beer around too

  9. So how big of slice of Niseko and Hakuba's business is Mt G expected to get? must surely have tourism operators in those areas shaking in their boots

  11. Burton Barracuda has been getting good reviews for the powder, about half the amount of taper compared to the fish, so a bit easier on piste, and plenty of rocker in the nose. I have always wanted a fish though, I love the look, the swallow tail...
  12. Very lucky indeed! Your photos and reports are fantastic, certainly make me want to come back to Hokkaido. Makes me think for a longer trip, hiring a car is an essential, makes life so much easer to get to other resorts, particularly if where you have based yourself from has poor snow conditions. One question I have is how do you decide which resort to go to each morning? Do you wait for the reports to come in for each resort, make an educated guess on the best conditions based on weather forecasts, or is it just "I feel like going to Rusutsu/Niseko/Kiroro today?
