  5. WE are trying queenstown nz this year taking some friends for their first snow experiance.did the $ for falls creek as I think thats the best place for first timers.then checked out NZ it was heaps better value for them even the lift tickets you have 7 days to use a 5 day pass [not in aus]and if they need a break there is heaps to do in Queenstown. We stayed at Wanaka NZ last year did Cardrona & Treble cone ski feilds where great but the you do get sick of the driving.I agree with Mamabear you connot beat staying on the snow. But you forget about the drive once you are there its so spectacul
  6. Mamabear On a different note it will be intresting to see what you think of Hakuba we found it great its completly different to Niseko which was great. we like to try some where new each year.Would love to go every where twice. But so much to do and time keeps moving faster .Roscoe

  12. I noticed the same thing at the bus stops at Shiga kogen and it was not the overseas snow lovers littering. Sad to see. Ive always see japan as the cleanest country I have visited.Found NZ pretty good to seem to have good pride in their country.

  18. You have lost me GN. who said helmets are compulsory.I wear my helmet be cause I wish to.its heaps better than a bennie for many resons not just to protect against head knocks.Maybe Japan will make people take avigear and helmets out thru the gates. But first they should stop the local guys.taking their girl friends down slopes their not ready for.Nozawa saturday what a nightmare.Sky line doge the nutter bodies every where. only got smashed in once glad I had my helmet
