  1. Nice, thanks snowhuntress. Where u headed next year? Any advice in terms of using agents or booking everything myself? It's easy enough to check things out on my own. Well not easy, but it can be done. Any recommendations in terms of agents? Cheers.
  2. Just curious around what time resorts will start to publish prices and allow you to book lodging. Also for a bundled deal via an agent. Cheers.

That's one of the nice things about living in Seattle. Whistler is ~4 hours away so you can drive up and do a 3day weekend there if you'd like. Washington state residents also get a discount on tickets as well.
  4. Nice, thanks for the feedback. Especially the boarder specific stuff that's always great to know. I'll have to add it to my ever growing list of places to go. Sometime I'll have to actually start hitting them up
  5. One last day of snowboarding. The local mountain's last days are Sat, Sun and Tuesday (Cinco de Mayo)
  6. How is Zermatt? I've only done boarding in the Seattle area and at Whistler, but looking to expand my horizons this next season
  7. Yeah, I picked up my Crowbars + G3 lens for about $70 (including tax). End of season deals are great
  8. Thx for the heads up. But unfortunately I'm in Seattle, so I don't think the website works for me. To bad, 50% off is nice!
  9. Cool, thanks for the heads up everyone. Good to know about the G30 being good for all around. I think that the goggles w/ the G30 was about $15 USD more than the other choices, so I just assumed it was a little better or something. Glad that I ended up with it. I'll keep my eyes peeled, maybe I'll get lucky and find some decent end of season deals on the other lens
  10. Just picked up some Crowbar's at half off. They came with the G30 lens (the other choice was black iridium I think). G30 seems like it's an all around lens. I'm thinking of eventually picking up a few replacement lenses as well. Any recommendations for bright/blue bird days or night/over cast conditions? Cheers
  11. Mostly at local, Seattle area mountains. But also 3 days at Whistler, hopefully 2 more still this season
  12. Yea yeah, I didn't get you guys mixed up with an agency. Although I did get it mixed up where you're located, my bad. I appreciate the heads up.
  13. Any suggestions for web sites to to find accommodations? Sorry for all the newb questions I should see if I can talk my boss into letting my work remotely for a few weeks. Sounds like a tall order though =/
  14. Thanks for the numbers Thursday, that gives me a good idea of what to expect in terms of lodging. For the price, where you happy with your lodging in terms of the room+accommodations and it's location?
  15. From San Diego, California (actually a small town outside SD) Now living in Seattle, Washington.
  16. I'm thinking of doing a trip to Niseko in 2010. it'll be my first time there so I had a few questions. How much would lodging cost for 2 weeks? I realize this depends on the accomodations, but ballpark figures for a hotel, western style apartment and a pension would be cool to compare. Can you save any money going with a packaged deal for flight+hotel+lift tickets? Cheers.
  17. Just got back from a (non-snow) trip to Japan. We both work at Microsoft and there are a lot of internal mailing lists. The future gf was just about to go to Japan and had posted to one of the lists asking for recos, advice, experiences, etc. We met up for lunch and she was instantly smitten with my good looks =p
  18. When I try clicking on one it says I don't have permission. I'm sad =(
  19. Just picked up the GNU Rider's Choice BTX Wide. I'm really stoked about this. It was really difficult to find a BTX that was long, wide and in stock! I'll report back once I've used it.
  20. Thanks Greenroome and Mamabear. I'm living in Seattle and the season is finally starting here, although it's still early season. The lame part is that the city has been getting snow also and it completely shuts down =/ Anyways, I'm totally OT here. I'll let u guys know how the Lasik goes. I'm expecting it'll make a big diff being on the slopes. Really looking forward to it
  21. I wear glasses and snow board. Initially I ditched my glasses, but depending on your vision that makes it difficult to see. I don't have OTG googles, but I do use anti-fog wipes on my glasses. They do a pretty good job. If u use these then u should be good as long as your moving and not over-heated. It's a managable solution, but to be honest it's a hassle. And so I'm getting Lasik done in Jan! Really looking foward to being able to see on the slopes w/o glasses =D And BTW, my first post here!
