This was all getting a bit silly the other week here in Tokamachi.

Not quite as mild but it will still get to around +3 today. Looks like we can expect wintery conditions to return just before the weekend hits. In this part of Niigata anyway.

I'm pretty sure that the Akakura part of Myoko is actually quite a few small place stuck together. You know, like Zao and Happo and Ishiuchi with numerous owners each jostling for position. Tons of complicated local politics.

It won't be the end but I would put a bet on right now being the most piled up there. It will likely go down the next few days with warmer weather and there's a chance of spoilsports moving snow round there too. It will certainly snow quite a lot more, but questionable if we will get higher than that. I hope we do of course!

Bad news folks, my friend told me that they have cleared the snow from around that box and you can actually use it! Spoilsports. I'll try and get there sometime soon to get a visual update.

I'll have to try and get a new shot, unfortunately it's not a road I go on often. Will try to make an effort!

But, Irihirose in central Niigata officially has the most snow, at 422cm in village.

Nah, don't get fed up of it at all, the more the better. moving it all is good exercise as well! Mad seeing dudes in their 70's and 80's up on the roofs shoveling a meter of snow. Get down there mr!

That's in Tokamachi, just on the other side of the hill from Muikamachi, or if you must Minamiuonuma. About 15 minutes drive from Muikamachi station, 10 minutes from Tokamachi on the road connecting them both. On the Tokamachi side of the tunnel.

Beautiful mountain. Not many blue sky days round these parts either the last 2-3 weeks.

I like the look of that place and not too far from me, hope to win one of those.

Matsudai - 0 seconds. Matsunoyama - 0 seconds. I was the only one on the whole lift sometimes.

Been snowing pretty good today again.

Let me know when you plan to go muika, would like to come too maybe.
