  1. I hear they're going for a quadruple pipe at daGranview. None of this fraction nonsense.
  2. There is a smallish lake (Tashiro), but it doesn't look like that, Man.
  3. Let us know if and when you go next week muika, I might pop over.
  4. I'll write more later, bit busy the next few days but I would advise people to go and check out some lesser well known 'local' ski hills. Often very quiet and often lots of easy runs. You might even get the bonus of a tea-tray lift. Well, maybe not the last bit.
  5. Yes Tokamachi Snow Festival is interesting, even if I do say so myself. And yeah, a car is helpful as lots of the exhibits are spread over quite a distance.
  6. I meant school lessons, within school hours. Does that still apply in Hakuba?
  7. I always want to know what the deal is with schools and ski resorts - like in Yuzawa where there's tons of choice, what dictates which skijo the kids go to for their lessons? Not people visiting from afar, but the local kids.
  8. I doubt it would make much difference for families with little kids at somewhere like Kagura, it's not a family kind of place. I suppose they wanted an "all Prince" line though which makes sense of course.
  9. Don't know. I think I would feel better if it was classed as an aftershock and not something 'new'. Though I totally dont understand it all. Just had another short while ago.
  10. Had a series of shakes here since late last night, strongest one Shindo 4, all centred Tokamachi. Anothere a few minutes ago.
  11. Out ready and tested but no need to use just yet.
  12. I can't think what the old one was! Ah just remembered the swirly shapes. I prefer this, looks very kakkoi.
  13. A test you can take at lots of ski-jo at the ski school. I think there were 4 (5?) levels with Level 1 being the best. They were wildly popular and a bragging point in the ski boom era, I believe, though not sure about now.
