In the same boat here. Just about starting to seriously think about it now.

I'm thinking of doing Japan this coming winter. The very maximum time I'll have available though would be 14 days (in total).

My family went to Zermatt when I was 2. Didn't ski but played in the snow. The next time was when I was at college with some mates and good hooked pretty much straight away.
