It is a much calmer morning.

Lots of cloud around yesterday, but we did get to enjoy some blue skies and a bit of sunshine at times.

Good morning from Yuzawa and welcome to the start of another week.

Lots more snow to report this morning after a day of snow and heavy snowfall at times in the afternoon.

Yesterday we enjoyed a bit of a break in the clouds during the daytime (after snow in the morning), but it was back to snow overnight.

The snow keeps on coming in - and it doesn't look like it is going to give up and clear up anytime soon with some big numbers expected later tomorrow into Sunday.

It was a lovely morning yesterday. There were sunny and blue skies with a moderate wind at times and in places but not enough to mess up lift operations.

On some days the snow seems to build up quickly almost without you noticing and on others it snows and you are puzzled when there's not as much as you thought.

Yesterday evening there was a bit of a break in the snow falling and I went out to measure 33cm of snowfall since my morning report.

Again we had some rather wet stuff falling later in the day yesterday but we can quickly forget that with a lot of fresh snow piled up on the ground this morning.

We ended up getting some really good snowfall during the day in Yuzawa yesterday, coming down hard at times.

We enjoyed some very fine sunny weather during the morning yesterday which was a nice surprise.

It is a beauty of a morning too, despite the forecasts showing cloud and snow.

Yesterday while it did not feel windy early on, it did actually get pretty blowy.
