Yesterday while it did not feel windy early on, it did actually get pretty blowy - so we could understand why some resorts and lifts were closed. Ishiuchi seemed to cancel their nighta as well.
Mild too.
Happily...
It is good to see some fresh snow on the ground this morning. Not a huge amount and certainly not enough to reset the mountain yet, but it is a start and we do have fairly regular snow on the forecast into the weekend and beyond.
I am measuring 5cm of fresh snowfall here in town so hopefully there might be a bit more than that higher up. I see Maiko are reporting 5cm too.
It is colder and should remain bobbing about around 0C and there is less wind too. As far as I can tell, all of the ski resorts in the region plan to be opening as normal this morning including GALA Yuzawa and Tashiro.
Come on, loads of fresh snow please!
