New snowfall at base 35cm

Again we had some rather wet stuff falling later in the day yesterday but we can quickly forget that with a lot of fresh snow piled up on the ground this morning. I have just measured 35cm of it as if 8:45am.
Kagura are reporting about 50cm of fresh snowfall.
Maiko are reporting 40+cm.
This is proper snow country like Yuzawa snowfall.
The sudden heavy snow and winds higher up means that the Tashiro Area of Kagura is closed for the day (Kagura open up until the Kagura Number 1 romance lift for the moment).
The Southern Area of GALA Yuzawa is also closed this morning as they cope with this new snowfall.
As far as I can tell other ski resorts are opening but there may be some lifts operating at reduced speed or delayed.
There's fresh snowfall on the forecast for large parts of this week so looks like we are in for regular top-ups. (Let's keep any sign of rain out of the mix, hey?)
