No fresh snow overnight - just a dusting - but there was 6cm by the evening yesterday.

Good news! A decent amount of fresh snowfall since yesterday, mostly overnight.

Snow most of the day yesterday which was good to see and I cleared away 15cm of snow last night and there's 1cm more there this morning.

After that rather prolonged spell of mild (with a bit of rain added into the mix last night), it is sure good to see some fresh snow this morning.

And a very 'Happy New Year' to everyone celebrating the Chinese New Year!

By 5pm last night there was 20cm of snow since the morning and this morning I have just cleared another 6cm, so that makes 26cm in total to add to my report this morning.

This morning Kagura are reporting 30cm of fresh snowfall and Maiko Snow Resort are reporting 20-30cm.

It is a much calmer morning.

Lots of cloud around yesterday, but we did get to enjoy some blue skies and a bit of sunshine at times.

Lots more snow to report this morning after a day of snow and heavy snowfall at times in the afternoon.

Yesterday we enjoyed a bit of a break in the clouds during the daytime (after snow in the morning), but it was back to snow overnight.

The snow keeps on coming in - and it doesn't look like it is going to give up and clear up anytime soon with some big numbers expected later tomorrow into Sunday.

It was a lovely morning yesterday. There were sunny and blue skies with a moderate wind at times and in places but not enough to mess up lift operations.
