Yesterday was not a nice day weather-wise. Wet and mild (though actually when I was out it actually felt pretty chilly) and there was all sorts of weather news on the TV... record breaking temperatures and the like. Warm and wet spells have been known to happen in the middle of the winter season; it's what happens next that is important.
There was that chance of snow on the forecast yesterday, but just 3-5cm is being reported by Kagura. There was actually a dusting of snow on our measuring point - just about enough for me to be able to justify adding 1cm to the reports this morning. I am probably being a bit kind there, but there have been days when I have ignored a few mm too, so I think it is fair.
It is colder this morning which is good, currently around -1C, with temps due to rise to around +4C in town later on.
We are also expecting sunshine and clearer skies today. Early on there's a bright but overcast feel to the morning with some blue sky in places.
The forecasts show the next snowfall due for us around Thursday, with a better chance of a decent amount of fresh around Saturday.
For now the best snow conditions will be found the higher you go. Groomers should be good though and as long as it doesn't warm up too much it should be a nice day.
