Hello and good morning from Nozawa Onsen on this last day of the 2020-2021 season - Sunday 9th May 2021.

It's still sunny and a warm early morning, and once again temperatures will be getting quite close to 20C down in the village.

And what do you know!? There's a thin covering of snow right down to lower levels this morning. Enough to even give Kawasawa and Nagasaka areas that speckled look.

The sun is out this morning. It's a fine spring morning.

A cloudy and overcast morning. But today, again, sun and blue skies are probable.

Lifts I believe got moving yesterday and this morning things are altogether more calm.

As expected, it's sunny from early on today and while it is cold early on it will be warming up today.

It is snowing early morning but the forecasts tell us that it should clear up and there is a good chance that there will be sunshine later on.

Yesterday visibility remained limited up top for lots of the time, better below and even some sun... with light snow. So mixed weather.

A good layer of fresh snow on the slopes this morning. The resort is reporting 15-21cm of snow overnight since yesterday afternoon.

It is colder and it is snowing. It's also a bit windy on the mountain though lifts appear to be unaffected.

It's Friday already, yikes. Swhooosh, there goes the season!

Another respectable amount of snowfall since yesterday.

Yesterday felt a bit strange, considering the forecasts and then what we got.
