It's Friday already, yikes. Swhooosh, there goes the season!
More snow! The resort reporting up to 40cm since yesterday morning up at Uenotaira. There's more like 20cm around base areas, so 20-40cm across the mountain. Sounds good to me.
It is fairly cold this morning, and cloudy and grey. Forecasts seem to be telling us to expect the clouds to break and the sun to make an appearance today. (I note that there's already blue skies over Madarao area). Temperatures shouldn't rise much above zero today.
We will likely get sun from the start of the day tomorrow and like last weekend it is going to be quite mild/warm. Hopefully not too warm. We shall see, as they say.
Fresh snowfall recorded by the resort (since yesterday morning):
- Yamabiko (1407m): 24cm
- Uenotaira (1230m): 40cm
- Hikage (660m): 23cm
- Nagasaka (615m): 23cm
- Karasawa (563m): 20cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
- Yamabiko (1407m): 330cm
- Uenotaira (1230m): 275cm
- Hikage (660m): 200cm
- Nagasaka (615m): 200cm
- Karasawa (563m): 150cm
All courses apart from the following plan to be open:
- Yunomine A
- Grand Prix
- Kandahar area not open to the public this season
Ski lift information:
- The following lifts are normally rested on weekdays:
- Utopia pair, Challenge pair, Yunomine pair and Mizunashi triple
- The Kandahar area is not open to the public this season
- The Shinyu pair lift will be closed for the remainder of the season due to obstruction by fallen tree
