It's a morning of good news. Just under 19cm of snowfall at base aside....

Brrrr, it is really cold out there this morning! I see Niseko Annupuri are saying it's -17C up top, Niseko Village posting a less severe -10C.

The last few days have been pretty miserable with rain and some glum feelings on display as we all wait for our lovely snow.

No fresh snowfall to report this morning and as far as I can tell that area of Annupuri will once again be open.

Now this is more like it! Numbers in double digits... I like them better than single digits.

And good news as well as we approach the weekend.

Some light rain yesterday afternoon in base areas I'm afraid and I only have what amounts to a sprinkling of snow to report to you this morning.

I bring fresh snowfall news. 3cm of it down to my base point, so it is just a thin layer but certainly better than rain.

It's cold and there is more snow. And a fair good amount of snow too here at base - I am measuring 18cm of it, there's more and less in surrounding areas.

It is cloudy right now as I look out the window but snow is due today and into tomorrow. Come on!!

I bring you more good news on this Sunday morning with another 8cm of fresh snowfall since the last report.

This is very exciting. I have another 18cm of fresh snowfall to report to you since yesterday.

Hokkaido has been on the receiving end of a very wintery storm and we have some fresh snow. Hurray!
