Since we do have two lifts running, I'll start putting up the full listings, although it could be a few days until things really get going (and I'm being loose with a "few").

Not much to report, with the potential of heavy snow resulting in just seven centimeters overnight.

A weekend, pre-season update, following the official meeting of Akakura ski areas on the first, and a little more fresh snowfall (that is already disappearing a bit).

Just a quick update, as this is the first day with measurable snow here at the base of Akakan.

The snow made it all the way down to base level at Akakan this morning, and again in the afternoon, so it seems like a good time to give a little preview of the coming season.

Time for the official close of the 2022-2023 ski season.

As the forecast predicted, snow overnight in Myoko!

We're down to just two resorts open on weekdays (Akakan and Lotte Arai), with Seki Onsen opening again on the weekend, and (maybe) part of Akakura Onsen.

I wanted to put up a report, even if it is late/midday, just to update the resort information, since I've been out early in the morning and they don't report early (most, anyway).

After some rain and wet snow yesterday, a nice day today.

Apart from rain yesterday early, it's remained warm, mostly clear and hazy in recent days.

A lot more snow than expected yesterday; it seemed like we were just going to have some flurries, but it really started to come down hard in the late afternoon/early evening.

The snow has stopped, with very little added overnight, and the sun is getting ready to come out today.
