Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 71cm

Posted on Tuesday 19th December 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Since we do have two lifts running, I'll start putting up the full listings, although it could be a few days until things really get going (and I'm being loose with a "few").

Just a dusting of snow overnight. There's an unusual front running from Noto Peninsula all the way to North Korea that's deflecting the winds; we saw this a few years ago when the snow just refused to fall, so I hope this is a passing thing.
