Furano Ski Resort has opened Kitanomine Zone this morning.

There has been another 6cm of new snow around the base of the ski area.

Some snow came through yesterday and there is 5cm on very light fresh powder at the base of the resort.

There was some wind in the evening and with it a small amount of snow.

It was a super cold start to the morning at -17c but has started to warm up to a reasonable temp.

There is another good top up of snow to report of 7cm.

It is snowing very lightly and there is a fresh 5cm of accumulation on the ground since the report yesterday.

There has been 11cm of new snow overnight and it is still snowing very lightly at the moment.

It is a clear morning in Furano and we are starting off at -6c and will hit a high of +1c around midday.

There is 10cm of new snow around the base and it is the very light dry powder that Furano is known for.

It is a nice Sunday morning but very chilly at -11c in town.

More lifts and courses have opened on the Furano Zone.

It looks like a great day ahead and the skiing will be good with 10cm of new snow that has fallen overnight at base.

Very light snow is falling and the forecast is for this to ease off and the day to be cloudy, with snow resuming to fall late evening.
