There is 10cm of new snow around the base and it is the very light dry powder that Furano is known for. Snow is still coming down and it is forecast to continue until early afternoon. There is no notable wind in the village.
Furano Zone is skiable from peak to base, and the resort have announced the intention to open Kitanomine Zone from Thursday, snow conditions permitting. Looking forward into the week, snow is expected daily.
