Snowfall at base this season 204cm

Furano Ski Resort has opened Kitanomine Zone this morning. The plan was to operate all lifts on the Kitanomine side, but due to strong wind only the quad chair can operate at the moment. The children's snow escalators remain closed on both sides of the resort.

The strong wind combined with light snow means that it is feeling pretty cold on the slopes. Visibility is limited due to low cloud and snow being blown around in the wind.
