Light snow is falling and there is 2cm of new snow on the ground in the village, and around 5cm at the top of the resort.

It is looking like it will be a good day ahead. We are starting off with a top up of 4cm of very light fresh snow in the village.

It was great to see to skiers flock to the Kitanomine side yesterday for the opening and to take advantage of some very good skiing on the upper slopes.

It is another cold start to the day with the temperature -10c.

There has been another 8cm of new snow overnight. At the town level this is quite wet and is exactly what is needed to build up the base on the lower slopes.

It is a nice sunny clear morning here in Furano and there has been 8cm of new snow accumulate on the ground since yesterday.

It looks like the warm weather has passed and we are back into the cold winter. Yesterday there was some light snowfall that amounted to 4cm.

Just a couple of centimeters of new snow has fallen since the last report. The Furano Zone is now fully open .

It is mainly cloudy today with some light snow falling. The snow will be off and on during the day, and falls are expected to be light.

Good to see it is snowing again even if it is only lightly. There is a moderate wind at the moment and 1cm of new snow has accumulated so far.

The rain yesterday changed to snow late morning as predicted.

Yesterday was a full day of severe winds from morning to night.

It is a windy day but the extreme winds in the early hours of the morning have reduced to a moderate level as I write this.

Snow coverage has really improved on the ski area in the last couple of days.
