It was great to see to skiers flock to the Kitanomine side yesterday for the opening and to take advantage of some very good skiing on the upper slopes. Having both sides of the resort open has spread the crowds and reduced lift lines on the Furano Zone side. Night skiing is operating on the Prince Romance lift until 19:30.
The cold spell continues and there has been a dusting of 2cm of new snow early this morning. The weather today is forecast to stay high cloud and not much is on the snow radar until Friday.
