Snowfall at base this season 158cm

Posted on Saturday 21st December 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

It is a nice sunny clear morning here in Furano and there has been 8cm of new snow accumulate on the ground since yesterday. An almost perfect morning! The international ski visitors have arrived in large numbers during this week and the resort is really starting to feel alive as we enter the peak season. Unfortunately there is still not enough snow for the Kitanomine side to open and the Furano Zone will be very crowded this weekend with long lift queues expected. Looking ahead the forecast for the next week has a little light snow but no major falls.

Open courses:

Shirakaba

Spies

Sailer

Ropeway

Prince

Panorama

Technical

Kitanomine Zone: CLOSED

Furano Zone: Open
