The big news today is that the resort will open up part of the Kitanomine Zone.

The sun is out today and sitting inside in the light of the sun sure feels warm.

There has been another good amount of snow overnight, this time amounting to 9cm.

It is snowing heavily here in Furano with monstrous snow flakes belting down as I write this.

It is a nice calm day with light overcast skies. Temperatures are a mild -3c at the moment and will warm up a little more than that during the middle of the day.

After some tropical weather over the last couple of days snow cover on the ground was erased in a lot of places.

It is a truly cold morning here in Furano at -11c. There is plenty of good to report with a further 20cm on new snow over night, clear skies and no wind.
