It's snowing! And there has been 10cm or so of new snowfall in places as well.

It's all very limited this morning. Strong winds are seeing to that.

A chilly morning though not as much as yesterday. It was a foggy start again earlier on but has cleared up since then leaving us with a more cloudy and overcast morning - grey skies all round.

Another cold start to the day today, colder than yesterday actually. Almost winter like temperatures again.

Fresh snowfall in Shiga Kogen overnight. Not a huge amount but enough to cover the roads - though it's quickly drying up now.

The fingers crossed thing must have worked because this morning there's 5-10cm of new snow on the ground.

As sure as my eyes can see it, there's around 20cm of new snow in Shiga Kogen this morning and it is still snowing. Instead of starting the day with temps at +9C, this morning it's -9C.

Not much different to report this morning from Shiga Kogen.

The snow started up again, as did the winds, and this morning I have about 20-25cm of fresh snow to report from Shiga Kogen.

Some 'wetness' yesterday... I can't bring myself to say the word... but a return to colder temps this morning and some snowfall as well, though it has stopped snowing now.

It is of course the last day of February and as they say here, spring from tomorrow. Not sure I agree with that, probably because I don't want spring to come and the fact that parts of Shiga Kogen open through until the end of May.

A cloudy morning and less wind after that somewhat stormy weekend.

Pretty wild conditions here this morning with snow coming down and strong winds. The strong winds mean that it's limited operations out there.
